WHO CAN JOIN THE FARMINGTON ECC PTA?

Parents, teachers, school staff, grandparents, caregivers and anyone else who cares about supporting our children and our community.

DOES JOINING THE PTA MEAN I HAVE TO VOLUNTEER?

No! Your yearly membership is greatly appreciated and all that is required. Your volunteer and organizing efforts are a bonus, if you choose to offer them.

ARE THERE BYLAWS?

Yes! We are a local PTA unit organized under the authority of the Michigan Congress of Parents and Teachers (Michigan PTA), a branch of the National Congress of Parents and Teachers (National PTA). We follow the standards set by these organizations. You can review the bylaws here.

WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER?

If you would like to volunteer, please stop by the school's front office and fill out a standard background check form. Once you have been cleared by the state, you are all set to volunteer for the duration of your time at Farmington Early Childhood Center. You will not have to fill out the form again. A 30 minute workshop is also offered by the school to help prepare you for what to expect as a volunteer, but is not required.

HOW CAN I SHARE MY IDEAS WITH THE PTA?

The Farmington ECC PTA is always open to knew ideas for fundraising and events. If you have an idea, please share it with us at our monthly meetings or drop a comment in our mailbox located in the main office at the school.
